Christine Del Rossi Visual Arts at Mt. Ararat High School [email protected]
I enjoy teaching about my love of sketchbook drawing, photographic documentation, and painting what can be envisioned. Nature is my inspiration and I hope others find inspiration in the the things they love and see too. At Mt. Ararat everyone has the ability to make and select their studio art experiences. I want to foster a learner-centered culture in my class where students can be self-directed using critical and creative thinking. Discoveries focus on compositional and framing choices, and art historical concepts. At the core of art making is connections, which are the building blocks of relationships, self discovery, and our greater purpose. With imagination and the possibility for challenges, the experience of making art in my classroom is about the integrity of an artist's vision, rather than creating perfection.
